This is a Christian based mentorship program where the process is dependent upon submission to Christ. The mentor is a wise and trusted counselor or teacher who serves as a model and trusted listener.

The mentor relies on the Holy Spirit to provide insight, change lives, and teach through the modeling process. Spiritual mentoring is largely about modeling a mature Christian life and being there for the student when questions arise. This by no means that the teacher is perfect, but comes with grace, favor, and wisdom.
